It's All About Helis... and Having Fun!!

HeliFun started as an idea at a Fall meeting, by the heli pilots of the Eastern Shore Aeromodelers Club. The club Members were all for it, and whether they fly a heli or a planker, everyone is pitching in to make our first heli event a success.

The Members of our club are truly some of the nicest people you will ever meet. This has always proven true with our past planker funflys and picnics! Genuine Eastern Shore hospitality is every where. From the Members Wives donating salads and deserts to the event, to the volunteers coming out Friday before the event to make sure the grass is freshly cut, and that the place looks perfect for our HeliFun guests.

You will love our field for heli flying!! There is not a tree or obstacle for miles in front of the flight line. The long covered (shaded) pit areas provide real nice raised setup tables/ stations... and there is LOTS of room off the ends of both pit areas on either side of the main pavilion, to setup your own easy-ups and tables, thus continuing in a line off the end of each pit area.

For our first year event... we feel Very fortunate in the support we have been given by the Sponsors! There are $1,955.00 in prizes so far for the Raffle... and many sponsors are still planning on getting back to us. "Bring the music you want to fly by!!" We will have CD and MP3 player hookups to the PA system... and we are looking forward to playing your favorite tunes that you like to fly with. :-)

Many of the pilots who have confirmed attending, are some of the Best in the NE. Many of them are factory sponsored pilots. We are "thrilled" to have them!! There will be no lack of outrageous "off the hook" flying for everyone to see!!

No matter what your skill level... your involvement... or your desire to learn more... go to a funfly this year!! The friendships, knowledge, and shear enjoyment of it all... truly enhances this great hobby of ours!!. If you want to attend a funfly that is all about having fun... consider giving HeliFun a try.
